Dina Katanacho, who leads the Arab-Israeli Bible Society, has told us that Christian schools in Nazareth have been attacked. Will you pray for everyone involved?
When Dina told us about the life-changing work of the Magdalena Project in Nazareth, she said that the women they serve often find themselves doubly vulnerable. Life can be hard for Christians in the Bible Lands. But even though they are accustomed to difficulties, the community has been shocked by recent attacks on Christian schools.
‘We are not used to such violent events, especially in relation to our schools,’ said Bishop Rafic Nahra, who works with Dina in Nazareth. ‘Church schools here have a good reputation. They are places open to Christian and Muslim students. They are places of common life.’
Dina says that one school was shot at, and at another school a staff member was threatened. Thankfully, nobody was injured in either attack.
You can share your prayer for the schools in Nazareth by adding a leaf to our prayer tree.
