My Bible: reasons to believe in the power of the Bible
‘My Bible is open at Luke 9 which is about how Jesus feeds 5,000 people. This is interesting because he found a child with five loaves and two fish.
‘This shows me that I can do something for God. That child could have eaten that food himself, but he gave what he had to Jesus. I think I can give Jesus my love and my prayers and be by his side, and he can use me to help more than just one person.
‘I am nearly 12, but that’s what I want to do, I want to help other people. I’m not sure what I want to do when I grow up, maybe a nurse or a doctor, though I love playing the piano too.
‘I pray about my family’s safety and my brothers getting their exam results. I normally pray about things at school, for things to be OK. I like to pray for other people, rather than myself. It’s worse seeing other people sad than being sad myself.’
