‘I love the psalms and particularly Psalm 121.1 which says, “I lift my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.”

‘For the first few years of my marriage I didn’t want a baby, but when I did, we went to the doctor and he said that it would be a miracle if I ever had a child. I prayed for many years. Someone at work recommended a doctor and a couple of months after seeing him, I conceived a baby. My help came from the Lord.

‘After three months, I nearly miscarried. I was bleeding a lot and my husband took me to hospital. I had been praying that if this baby was a gift from the Lord then it would remain.

‘In the end I had two sons. They are both over 30 years old now, but still every time I look at them I think that they are miracles. I thank the Lord every time I see them.’
