Prayer tree leaves: Middle East and North Africa

Bible Society teams are sharing the Bible with those affected by war in the Middle East as they offer Bible-based trauma healing as well as food and other essentials. You can support us in prayer by adding a prayer leaf to our tree. Together, we can support those who need it most.

Dear Lord, please help the refunding of the UNRWA, so it may continue the humanitarian aid management needed in Gaza; for the aid trucks to continue to flow into Gaza from all directions; for famine to be averted and for the people to feel your love and grace. In Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for opening the Erez checkpoint to enable humanitarian aid trucks through. Please help the aid to get to those most in need. May this be a start for healing and a permanent cease fire. Thank You for Your love and grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Father God, please bring a ceasefire and justice back to the Gaza-Israeli situation. Help those who have strayed from their Jewish beliefs to false idols, return to you and the love you give so freely. Help them to see the error of their false ways. May they love and praise your name. Amen.

Dear Lord, please help to find a peaceful outcome to the horrors in Gaza. Help the Palestinians and the Israelis to work out a plan where they can live in peace with one another, side by side. Help to stop all these protests that cause division rather than support peace negotiations. Amen.

Father God, is this dream just a vain imagining I have for people in the Holy Land finding peace with each other? Is there an opportunity for a prolonged cease-fire leading to peace, and no more killing of innocent people? I pray, your answer is yes, there will be peace between all nations. Amen.

Dear Lord, I feel for the parents and children in Gaza. The children have no life, they are either terrorised by war, or killed. There appears to be no hope for their future as the killing continues. Have mercy on these innocent children. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

Father God, please help Israel to have a change of heart and let not any more innocent lives die to sate Israel's thirst for revenge against the initial Hamas attack. Bring peace to Gaza and the Holy Land. Through Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Merciful God, The Gaza refugees are suffering so much; no clean hospital facilities, no pain killers, no drugs to prevent or treat infections, no one to take the horrors away that will remain in the minds of children for years to come. No homes, and for many no family too. Please help them. Amen.

Heavenly Father, more innocent children have died due to Israeli raids on Rafah, please receive them into your loving care. By enforcing the 1997 Leahy law against the appropriate army divisions that have violated human rights may it change the soldiers’ hearts from hatred and stone. Amen.
