Kadesh-barnea

Sometime spelt Qadesh-Barnea. During the wilderness wandering (after the Israelites had escaped from Egypt) Kadesh-Barnea was an important encampment for the Israelites and was the place from which spies were sent into the Promised Land (see Numbers 13.1-26). It is in the north of the desert in what was often called the Wilderness of Zin.
