Navigating Trauma

Trauma is part of our human experience in a broken world, but the Bible can help

Whether it’s through violence, abuse, substance misuse or loss, many of us have experienced some form of trauma – and this has only been intensified during the coronavirus pandemic. It's part of our human experience in a broken world and something we’re all vulnerable to, regardless of gender, age, class or race.

But God is close to the broken-hearted. He is with everyone who suffers. Using the Bible as a tool, the Scriptures can unpack our story and God’s relationship with those who suffer. Navigating Trauma is a Bible-based initiative that uses the Scriptures to accompany participants in their journey through the effects of trauma towards a place of peace. It's designed to help churches, faith groups and chaplains support their communities through the impact of trauma.
