Luke

Otherwise known as Luke the evangelist. Christian tradition attributes both the writing of the third Gospel and of its companion volume, the Acts of the Apostles, to Luke. Luke is mentioned in Colossians 4.14 as 'the beloved physician', and in Philemon 1.24 and 2 Timothy 4.11 as a companion of Paul.
