Jewish War

Also known as the first Jewish-Roman war or the Great Revolt, which took place between AD 66-73. It was the first of three major rebellions by the Jews against the Romans (the second was the Kitos war in AD 115-117 and the third the Bar Kochba revolt of AD 132-136. The Jewish War culminated in the destruction of the Temple in AD 70. After this major victory it took another three years for the fortress at Masada (on the borders of the Dead Sea) to fall.
