Girgashites

A people descended from Canaan, the fourth son of Ham, the son of Noah. Canaan was cursed by Noah, and this curse was passed on to his sons. The Girgashites lived in the land of Canaan which God promised to the Israelites when they came out of Egypt. In Deuteronomy 7, Moses says the Girgashites must be completely destroyed, along with the other inhabitants of the land God gave for the Israelites’ possession.
