Bethany

A village in Judea about two miles east of Jerusalem. It was the home of sisters Mary and Martha, and their brother Lazarus who died and was raised back to life by Jesus, a spectacular miracle that anticipated Jesus’ own resurrection, showing him to be ‘the resurrection and the life’ (see John 11).
