Alexander

An opponent of Paul from Ephesus mentioned in 1 Timothy 1.20 and 2 Timothy 2.17, associated with Hymenaeus and Philetus. The Alexander mentioned in Acts 4.6 and 19.33 may or may not be the same person as the one mentioned in 1 and 2 Timothy. The references in both 1 and 2 Timothy suggest that his error was that he denied there would be a future resurrection.
