My Bible: reasons to believe in the power of the Bible
‘I’m interested in memorising passages from the Bible. I do it all the time, for about an hour and a half every morning.
‘I have memorised Psalm 23. It was the first thing I read when I became a Christian. When I pray, I pray Psalm 23. It makes me feel less alone. My family are in the Philippines and my husband died in 2018. He was a good man.
‘When I pray Psalm 23, I am excited and inspired. I feel that God is with me, right next to me. My whole body is taken up by Christ. It’s on my heart every day and it has changed me. Before I was a Christian I was really stubborn and wild and I had lots of problems. But, it’s transformed me. I have more peace and I am full of joy. My life is full of blessings. It’s changed me for the better.’
