Let's have a banquet

Psalm 23.5 says, 'You prepare a banquet before me, where all my enemies can see me' (GNB).

We've all struggled during the last year because of the coronavirus pandemic. We've faced 'enemies' – illness and grief, but also anxiety, isolation and frustration, and perhaps financial hardship.

In the spirit of that verse, Bible Society – working with Christians Against Poverty and Welcome Churches – is encouraging churches and individuals to host banquets in the presence of these enemies.

You might be able to lay on a feast in your church building. You might want to invite a few people round to your house.

You can make it special in your own way (and of course, please comply with any Covid regulations). Your guests will know that they're loved and welcome, and that God has a place for them at his table.

We’ll be providing resources to help you organise your banquet soon. Sign up to our newsletter below to hear as soon as these are available!
