Prayer request from our team in Aleppo

Our team in Aleppo are still operating despite the huge conflict in the city, which is under siege. 

Many people, both Christians and Muslims, come to the shop to buy Bibles and ask what the Bible has to say about the suffering they face. There is huge uncertainty as conflict continues and many live in fear of what tomorrow may bring.

Please pray for:

  • peace and hope amid increasingly heavy shelling and uncertainty
  • protection during a cold winter without water, electricity or fuel
  • for the arrival of Bibles on their way from Lebanon.

Harry Lighton wins Bible based film competition

Harry Lighton, from Portsmouth, has won Pitch film competition. Bible Society is one of the main sponsors of the competition which asks film makers to come up with a short film idea based on a Bible story character or theme. Ten finalists pitched their ideas to a panel of film industry experts at the Pinewood Film Studios this weekend (15 and 16 January).
