Our first rider for 2022 is James Whitney, who completed his ride in February! This wasn’t the ideal time to be riding close to 200 miles, and James was often caught in some miserable weather. He lost some time to Storm Eunice, which left him with a lot of miles to make up at the end of the month. But James was strongly motivated by his own love of the Bible and his strong belief in its power to change lives. He said: ‘The Bible is very relevant today. Not only is Jesus teaching us the real meaning of life but also how to treat people well.’ His favourite passage is Matthew 22.37–40 where Jesus shares the two greatest commandments.

James completed his ride as one of 12 charity challenges for 2022, through which he hopes to inspire others to look beyond themselves make a difference in the world. You can follow James’ journey through his Instagram, @James_challenges.
Follow James' example and challenge yourself to ride further than ever this September. The money you raise will help the incredible Bible mission team in Ukraine (nicknamed locally the ‘angels of Kyiv’) reach out with God’s love. You’ll also enable other teams across Europe, including here in the United Kingdom, to share the life-changing power of the Bible with Ukrainian refugees.
