Reasons to believe in the power of the Bible
Rhesymau i gredu ym mhŵer y Beibl
'We had never done a Bible study before. But we had a Bible study app, and, as soon as the schools closed, we decided to start doing a Bible study together. We read a chapter of the Bible every day and then once a week, we talk about it on Facebook Messenger.
'We’ve just started the book of Acts, which we haven’t read before. With the coronavirus happening, it encourages us to share our faith a lot more. Everyone will know someone who passes away. So, we have an increased urgency to tell people about Jesus.
'With Acts, we saw the disciples being so bold. We have just been so encouraged by their boldness, putting themselves out of their comfort zones. So, we have been on social media more talking about our faith. For people to be aware of our faith, that’s really good. We’re more confident doing that because we’re at home. Also, we’re on Zoom more, and the chance to have chats and share our faith has been good. With what’s going on, you get deep more quickly. It’s a great opportunity to pop up on social media and say, ‘Read the Bible’. People will listen as well. They’re not busy. They’ve got time.
'The fact that the disciples and apostles were bold has encouraged us. They stood up to everyone by asking God to fill them with his Holy Spirit.
'It’s really comforting knowing that God never changes. He’s the constant in this. We read that the disciples and apostles embraced change and so we know that we should too, and that if we do, that allows God to crazy, awesome things.'
Doedden ni erioed wedi gwneud astudiaeth Feiblaidd o'r blaen. Ond roedd gennym ap astudiaeth Feiblaidd, a chyn gynted ag y caeodd yr ysgolion, fe benderfynon ni ddechrau gwneud astudiaeth Feiblaidd gyda'n gilydd. Rydyn ni'n darllen pennod o'r Beibl bob dydd ac yna unwaith yr wythnos, rydyn ni'n siarad amdano ar Facebook Messenger.
Rydyn ni newydd ddechrau llyfr yr Actau, nad ydyn ni wedi'i ddarllen o'r blaen. Gyda'r coronafeirws yn digwydd, mae'n ein hannog i rannu ein ffydd lawer mwy. Bydd pawb yn adnabod rhywun sy'n marw. Felly, mae gennym ni fwy o frys i ddweud wrth bobl am Iesu.
Gyda’r Actau, gwelsom y disgyblion yn gweithredu’n mor eofn. Rydyn ni wedi ein calonogi gan eu hyfdra, gan roi eu hunain allan o gysur eu cynefin Felly, rydyn ni wedi bod ar gyfryngau cymdeithasol yn fwy i siarad am ein ffydd. Er mwyn i bobl fod yn ymwybodol o'n ffydd, mae hynny'n dda iawn. Rydyn ni'n fwy hyderus yn gwneud hynny oherwydd rydyn ni gartref. Hefyd, rydyn ni ar Zoom mwy, ac mae'r cyfle i gael sgyrsiau a rhannu ein ffydd wedi bod yn dda. Gyda'r hyn sy'n digwydd, rydych chi'n dyfnhau'n gyflymach. Mae’n gyfle gwych i ymddangos ar y cyfryngau cymdeithasol a dweud, ‘Darllenwch y Beibl’. Bydd pobl yn gwrando hefyd. Dydyn nhw ddim yn brysur. Mae ganddyn nhw amser.
Mae'r ffaith bod y disgyblion a'r apostolion yn eofn wedi ein calonogi. Fe wnaethant sefyll i fyny i bawb trwy ofyn i Dduw eu llenwi â'i Ysbryd Glân.
Mae'n gysur mawr gwybod nad yw Duw byth yn newid. Ef yw'r un cyson yn hyn. Rydym yn darllen bod y disgyblion a'r apostolion wedi coleddu newid ac felly rydyn ni'n gwybod y dylen ni hefyd, ac os ydyn ni'n gwneud hynny, mae hynny'n caniatáu i Dduw wneud pethau rhyfeddol ac anhygoel.
