Reasons to believe in the power of the Bible
Rhesymau i gredu ym mhŵer y Beibl
'We had been holidaying in Shropshire for 10 years and felt drawn to it. But life wasn’t like that. My husband worked in London at that time. But, last year, God helped us to move from a four-bedroom home in suburbia to a smallholding in Shropshire.
'During the move, we were filmed for Channel Five’s A Country Life For Half the Price, with Kate Humble. If it hadn’t been for the programme, we wouldn’t have been into the animals: the cow, pigs and hens. It wasn’t that we went out and sought these animals. They came to us.
'We had tried to get the cow delivered for so many months. We prayed, and thankfully, the cow arrived a few days before lockdown. There are 11 of us, and this means that we now have an abundance of milk, and enough to share with those in need. On the advice of my son’s maths teacher (clearly prompted by God), the pigs went to slaughter hours before we came down with coronavirus symptoms, and so now we have pork for months. We have 11 hens and get about 8 eggs a day, and are growing our own fruit and veg. It was as if God was saying, ‘I’m going to show my provision, just in time’.
'I had proper Covid-19 symptoms. We all showed some symptoms, except my husband who was asymptomatic. We’re all better now. It’s been fine, except for the worry that you have when you think, is it going to get worse.
'Isaiah 65.24 says, ‘Before they call, I will answer.’ It felt as if God answered our needs before we even knew they existed.
'What we are working through now is painful, but we know that God has a plan in it. He has us in his arms. What a wonderful God we serve.'
Roeddem wedi bod yn mynd ar wyliau i Swydd Amwythig am 10 mlynedd ac yn teimlo ein bod yn cael ein tynnu yno. Ond nid felly oedd bywyd. Roedd fy ngŵr yn gweithio yn Llundain bryd hynny. Ond, y llynedd, fe helpodd Duw ni i symud o gartref pedair llofft mewn maestref i dyddyn yn Swydd Amwythig.
Yn ystod y symud, cawsom ein ffilmio ar gyfer A Country Life For Half the Price gyda Kate Humble ar Channel 5. Oni bai am y rhaglen, ni fyddem wedi bod â diddordeb yn yr anifeiliaid: y fuwch, y moch a'r ieir. Wnaethon ni ddim mynd ati i chwilio am yr anifeiliaid hyn. Daethon nhw atom ni.
Roeddem wedi ceisio cael buwch wedi ei danfon atom ers cymaint o fisoedd. Fe wnaethon ni weddïo, a diolch byth, fe gyrhaeddodd y fuwch ychydig ddyddiau cyn y cloi. Mae 11 ohonom, ac mae hyn yn golygu bod gennym bellach doreth o lefrith, a digon i'w rannu gyda'r rhai mewn angen. Ar gyngor athro mathemateg fy mab (a brocwyd yn amlwg gan Dduw), aeth y moch i gael eu lladd oriau cyn i ni fynd yn wael gyda symptomau coronafeirws, ac felly nawr mae gennym borc am fisoedd. Mae gennym 11 o ieir ac rydyn ni'n cael tua 8 wy y dydd, ac rydyn ni'n tyfu ein ffrwythau a'n llysiau ein hunain. Roedd fel petai Duw yn dweud, ‘Rwy’n mynd i ddangos fy narpariaeth, a hynny mewn pryd’.
Cefais symptomau Covid-19 difrifol. Fe gawsom ni i gyd rai symptomau, ar wahân i fy ngŵr a oedd yn ansymptomatig. Rydyn ni i gyd yn well nawr. Mae hi wedi bod yn iawn, heblaw am y pryder sydd gennych chi wrth feddwl a yw hyn yn mynd i waethygu.
Dywed Eseia 65.24, ‘Bydda i'n ateb cyn iddyn nhw alw arna i.’ Roedd yn teimlo fel pe bai Duw wedi ateb ein hanghenion cyn i ni hyd yn oed wybod eu bod yn bodoli.
Mae'r hyn rydyn ni'n gweithio drwyddo nawr yn boenus, ond gwyddom fod gan Dduw gynllun ynddo. Rydym ni’n ei freichiau. Am Dduw rhyfeddol rydyn ni'n ei wasanaethu.
