Reasons to believe in the power of the Bible
Rhesymau i gredu ym mhŵer y Beibl
'I own an estate agents’, and have been furloughed. I know people are struggling, but for me and my family it’s been positive. I have been able to spend a lot of time with my kids. I don’t work regular hours normally and when I’m at home, my head’s still at work. So, this has been a really good experience.
'I have three children. My little girl was born in October. It’s been wonderful for the five of us to be together. We have been doing lots of playing, messing around, trips to the park and lots of encouragement to do school work with varying degrees of success.
'After this, I want to structure my time better and commit to that time with my family, rather than being here, there and everywhere.
'I’ve been encouraged by the story of Paul and Silas in Corinthians. They were in prison, in lock down, yet they prayed, sang hymns and cared about the other prisoners and the jailer. When the earthquake happened, they didn’t escape, they stayed for the sake of the jailer. And because of that, he met with the living God.
'That, in particular, has made me think about the purpose of lock down. What’s my response to it? Do I look forward to when I can get out, or do I think about how I can learn from this situation and benefit others? That’s so much more helpful than selling a house or winning another contract. There are implications from this, and I don’t know the answers yet. But there will be changes.'
‘Rwy'n berchen ar gwmni gwerthu tai, ac wedi cael fy rhoi ar seibiant. Rwy'n gwybod bod pobl yn ei chael hi'n anodd, ond i mi a fy nheulu mae wedi bod yn gadarnhaol. Rwyf wedi gallu treulio llawer o amser gyda fy mhlant. Nid wyf yn gweithio oriau rheolaidd fel arfer a phan fyddaf gartref, mae fy mhen yn dal i weithio. Felly, mae hwn wedi bod yn brofiad da iawn.
'Mae gen i dri o blant. Ganed fy merch fach ym mis Hydref. Mae wedi bod yn hyfryd i'r pump ohonom fod gyda'n gilydd. Rydyn ni wedi bod yn gwneud llawer o chwarae, poitsio, teithiau i'r parc a llawer o anogaeth i wneud gwaith ysgol gyda graddau amrywiol o lwyddiant.
'Ar ôl hyn, rwyf am strwythuro fy amser yn well ac ymrwymo i'r amser hwnnw gyda fy nheulu, yn hytrach na bod yma a thraw.
'Rydw i wedi cael fy nghalonogi gan stori Paul a Silas yng Nghorinthiaid. Roeddent yn y carchar, dan glo, ac eto roeddent yn gweddïo, yn canu emynau ac yn gofalu am y carcharorion eraill a'r carcharor. Pan ddigwyddodd y daeargryn, ni wnaethant ddianc, arhoson nhw er mwyn y carcharor. Ac oherwydd hynny, cyfarfu â'r Duw byw.
'Mae hynny, yn benodol, wedi gwneud i mi feddwl am bwrpas y cyfnod cloi. Beth yw fy ymateb iddo? Ydw i'n edrych ymlaen at bryd y gallaf fynd allan, neu a ydw i'n meddwl sut y gallaf ddysgu o'r sefyllfa hon a bod o fudd i eraill? Mae hynny gymaint yn fwy defnyddiol na gwerthu tŷ neu ennill cytundeb arall. Daw goblygiadau o hyn, ac ni wn yr atebion eto. Ond fe fydd newidiadau.'
