Gaius

Gaius is the name of a number of people in the New Testament. Gaius of Corinth was a member of the Christian community in Corinth. One of only a few people that Paul himself baptised and who offered Paul and 'the whole church' hospitality in his house (Romans 16.23). This last statement suggests that Gaius was wealthy and could fit all the different congregations into his large house.
