Amalekites

A nomadic tribe who roamed across the southern part of Canaan, the northern Negeb desert and the region later known as Moab who on more than one occasion with the people of God as they travelled in the wilderness and attempted to settle in the Promised Land during the time of Moses, Joshua and the Judges. They are said to be descended from Amalek, a grandson of Esau.
