Prayer for the Wintershall Nativity

We all know the nativity story, don't we? The shepherds, the star, the wise men. But the story has endured because it's about so much more. There's more to the nativity, there's more to Christmas, there's more to life - and it starts with Jesus, the baby in the manger.

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

The Wintershall Nativity event which will run from Wednesday 12 December to Sunday 16 December is put on in partnership with Bible Society.

• Please pray for all those who are performing this year's play. May they communicate the timeless story of Jesus' birth with clarity and integrity, and inspire those watching to explore the Bible for themselves.
• Pray that all those who experience this moving narrative of the birth of Jesus truly reflect on and are transformed by the real story of Christmas.
