Prayer for our work at festivals this summer

Festivals are a key part of our work in this country, as we go to places where God's people meet to be refreshed by teaching from the Bible. Please come and say hello to us on the Bible Society stand if you see us at festivals!

And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Acts 2.46-47 (ESV)

• Please pray for God's word to inspire and refresh everyone who goes to festivals, gathering with friends and family to study it in depth.
• Ask God to speak to us through the Bible, bringing a new understanding of who he is and what that means about us and the way we live.
• Pray that the Bible would continue to be an integral part of our lives as we return home so that our new excitement about the Bible would change us and our communities.

• Please lift up in prayer our volunteers who serve with us, that they would benefit from their time away from their normal work whether serving in a cafe or on a stand. Pray for staff to enjoy the different way of working, to be encouraged by meeting supporters and to do their work in a way that brings glory to God's name.
• Pray for delegates to be inspired to get involved with our work, whether that involves becoming an Open the Book storyteller, doing  The Bible course at home, equipping their church with the Good News Bible - The Youth Edition, or offering the Bible to the world by joining Bible a Month.
• Over all these things we pray that God's will would be done and his name glorified.
