Prayer for Open the Book (continued)

We're delighted to be celebrating 20 years of Open the Book in 2019! Please join us in giving thanks for God's faithfulness and blessing through this project seeking to share Bible stories with primary school children.

He put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
Matthew 13.31-32 (NRSV)

• Thank God for all the headteachers, RE co-ordinators and teachers who welcome Open the Book into their schools. Pray for God to open the door for more schools who are closed to the idea to welcome their local church in to share Bible stories as part of collective worship.
• Praise God that children describe OtB as 'the best assembly of the week'. Pray for the seeds that are planted to grow and flourish.
• Pray for the development of a new training programme to support the delivery of our Bible storytelling working in a multi-faith context.
