Prayer for Malawi (continued)

Thank you for praying with us, we deeply value your intercessions on our behalf as we seek to share God’s word around the world. This week we’re continuing to pray for our work in Malawi. If you want to find out more, click the link to read the summer edition of our magazine, Word in Action.

But as for you, continue in the truths that you were taught and firmly believe. You know who your teachers were, and you remember that ever since you were a child, you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

There is huge need for projects that work with children and families across Malawi. This nation is recovering from an AIDS epidemic, so many children have been orphaned and are being looked after by their community and churches.

• Pray for our work with Sunday schools across the country.
• Pray for children like 11-year-old Lisa who was given a children’s Bible at a Sunday school in Blantyre, Malawi. She reads her Bible every night before going to bed and her favourite story is Mary and the birth of Jesus. She said, ‘Thank you for supporting us with these lovely children’s Bibles. Now I can understand the word of God so much easier.’
