Important information for Open the Book Storytellers with regards to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Last updated 23 September 2020

We want to do all we can to ensure children are still hearing Bible stories, please do read the Guidance for Storytellers which you were sent recently.

Meeting up to record stories in person

If you are meeting in person to record your stories, please bear in mind the following points:

Current guidance is that people should not go out to work, or to volunteer unless they are required to do so.

If you are in an area under local lockdown restrictions, the gathering of the team in one member’s home or garden is not possible.

If the activity is in an area with no local restrictions it would be possible for it to take place in someone’s garden (but not indoors) provided that no more than 6 people are involved.

Bob Hartman has recorded some of the Open the Book stories for us which we have made into complete assemblies and these have beeen shared on our Facebook page and website.  We also have some pre-recorded videos from other teams to be found in our Video Library , check them out on the Resources page.

You are free to use stories in the Year 2 and Year 3 Handbooks, which do not appear in The Lion Storyteller Bible as well as all of Christian Values as they belong to us.   Please follow the copyright rules to be found on LionHudson.com for The Lion Storyteller Bible, before sharing these stories on media platforms.

We’ve been really encouraged by your enthusiasm at this time and we'll keep sharing ideas on our Facebook page about how to keep Open the Book alive while we aren't able to go into schools.

Thank you, as always, for your passion to share the Bible with others, and please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.

We are continuing to pray for you and all our Storytellers during this time.

Rydyn ni eisiau gwneud popeth o fewn ein gallu i sicrhau bod plant yn dal i glywed straeon o'r Beibl yn ystod y cyfnod yma, cofiwch ddarllen y ddogfen Guidance for Storytellers a ddanfonwyd atoch yn ddiweddar.

Cyfarfod mewn person i recordio straeon

Os ydych yn cyfarfod ag eraill i recordio eich straeon, cofiwch y pwyntiau canlynol:

Y canllawiau presennol yw na ddylai pobl fynd allan i weithio, nac i wirfoddoli oni bai ei bod yn ofynnol iddynt wneud hynny.

Os ydych mewn ardal sydd o dan gyfyngiadau cloi lleol, nid ydych i gasglu'r tîm yng nghartref neu gardd un aelod.

Os yw'r gweithgaredd mewn ardal heb unrhyw gyfyngiadau lleol, byddai'n bosibl cyfarfod yng ngardd rhywun (ond nid dan do) ar yr amod nad oes mwy na 6 o bobl yn cymryd rhan.

Mae Bob Hartman wedi recordio rhai o hanesion Agor y Llyfr i ni a ‘rydym wedi addasu rhain i mewn i wasanaethau cyfan ac maent i’w weld ar ein tudalen Facebook a’n gwefan. Mae rhai hanesion ar gael yn y Cymraeg, wedi’u recordio gan Catrin Hampton, Storïwr o Gaerfyrddin.

‘Rydym wedi cael ein calonogi gan eich brwdfrydedd ar yr adeg yma a byddwn yn rhannu rhai syniadau ar ein tudalen Facebook am sut i gadw Agor y Llyfr yn fyw tra ein bod yn methu mynd mewn i’r ysgolion.

Diolch i chi, fel bob amser, am eich angerdd i rannu'r Beibl ag eraill a chysylltwch â ni os oes gennych unrhyw gwestiynau pellach.

Rydym yn parhau i weddïo drosoch chi a'n holl storïwyr yn ystod yr amser yma.
