Your support this Easter will bring hope to broken lives. Children in Syria have grown up knowing little besides war. But you can see on their faces the difference a children’s Bible or Scripture story booklet makes.

The situation in Syria is desperate. The country has been in civil war for ten years and its Covid case fatality rate is among the worst in the world. George, who leads our work there, has described seven-hour queues to buy bread.

But George and his team are determined to bring good news. Last year they gave out tens of thousands of booklets, reaching as many people as they could under lockdown conditions that closed the Scripture bookshop they’d kept open throughout the war.

They’re asking for your help as they plan to reach 50,000 children this Easter.

George leads Bible mission in Syria

‘Every Bible is a gift for these children. You can see from the smiles on their faces how much it means to them. They wait for us to come, and they feel the gift is direct from God, given to them by name.’

Just £4 provides a child in the Middle East with a Bible of their own. Your gift of £20 would give five children a Bible or provide 40 Easter story booklets.

This is an exciting opportunity to turn lives around, and it goes beyond just Syria. With your help, children in Jordan and Lebanon can discover hope in the pages of the Bible.
