Hama Yaye, who leads Bible mission in the West African state of Niger, is asking for your help after catastrophic floods have made thousands homeless. Having seen their livestock swept away, along with almost half the country’s farmland, Christians in desperate poverty are clinging to God’s word.

Will you help Hama replace the Bibles of people caught in these devastating floods?

Hama’s team serves Christians in one of the poorest parts of the world, and their work was almost ended by the pandemic. It’s thanks to your help earlier this year that the Bible Society in Niger is still in operation. But they have no funds to meet needs in a crisis like this.

You can help today.

Hama Yaye
Executive Secretary, the Bible Society in Niger

The impact is enormous and horrific. People collapsing from hunger, injuries from snakebites, communities scattered. I’ve never seen anything like it.

The Bible is hope in all circumstances. I have been overwhelmed by events, but Peter’s words comfort me. ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.’*

In Niger, we need God’s word to heal our heart-wounds. Please help us replace the Bibles families have lost in this disaster and meet spiritual needs through trauma healing.
