You can invite a visiting speaker to your church to speak at a Sunday morning service or a mid-week event.
We have staff and volunteer Speakers. Staff are introduced below and our trained volunteers are a great group of people who are available to visit your church to share our exciting mission and invite your congregation to get involved.
Gareth is married to Ruth and lives on the edge of the New Forest. They moved to the area when Gareth pursued a call to study theology at Moorlands College in 1997. Since then he has worked for different Christian agencies and has always loved spending time with church leaders of all denominations and giving Bible talks with a contemporary application. His particular passion is for the Bible to be the source of wisdom and understanding during our emergence from the great disruption of recent years.

Mel is an experienced speaker, well versed in Scripture and in sharing its practical application. With a desire to make the word of God relevant for all her listeners, she ensures that God always has the opportunity to meet his people at their point of need.Mel has been a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 42 years and was baptised at the age of 13. She is the Director of My 2nd Chance, an organisation focused on supporting and resourcing the community.Through her life experiences, God has given Mel a deep passion and empathy for broken and hurting people, and the conviction that no one should be lost. Melanie has two children.

Nigel is married to Nicky and lives in Woodford. Together they have planted churches in Woodford, London and beyond. Nigel is Director of Domestic Mission for Bible Society, having previously been Bible Society's Head of Church Relations. Nigel has studied at WTC and is now on the MA course. Nigel is passionate about mission and engaging the world with the power of Scripture. He enjoys walking, reading and drinking coffee.

Victoria is passionate about the transforming power of the Bible, and loves to see the Bible change lives. She lives in Kent with her family, originally from Nigeria, and has been living in the UK for over 26 years now. She heads a charity that provides support for vulnerable women and their children. She believes in the power of prayer. She has travelled to Malawi, Kenya, Zambia and Ghana on mission trips, transforming communities through the power of God’s love. She’s been part of various church planting initiatives, and of equipping and supporting church-led social action. She’s an ambassador and Council member for Churches in Community. She’s been part of various prayer movement including the National Day of Prayer, and the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer. She enjoys travelling, cooking, reading and spas. Apple pie and cream helps her de-stress any time!

Jonny Lewis joined the Bible Society Church Engagement team in 2022 following over 15 years of youth, schools and pioneer ministry across the UK. Originally from Yorkshire but now settled in Cornwall, Jonny is passionate about bringing the Bible to life, helping lives to be changed by God’s amazing word! His particular specialism is speaking in all-age contexts. Jonny's desire is to develop partnerships with local churches as we join together to further God’s kingdom, helping more people hear the good news and deepen their understanding of Scripture.Jonny has a variety of interests including sport, music, the outdoors and good coffee, and he's always keen to bring his joy of life into his church engagements!

Cathy lives in St Helier, Jersey with her husband and two sons. She has a passion for the Bible that shows itself in the way that she speaks about it, with creativity and enthusiasm. Her family has a long connection with Bible Society; she first heard about it through her mother-in-law, who was a key member of the Jersey Action Group.

Osoba Otaigbe lives in Manchester a few minutes’ walk from Etihad Campus – Home to Manchester City Football Club. Before joining Bible Society Osoba was a Baptist minister in two Baptist churches in London for 15 years. He is passionate about building Bible confidence in churches and also enjoys sharing the love of Jesus Christ in cross-cultural contexts and other spheres. Osoba is also on secondment one day a week with Gather Movement. He loves travelling and helping individuals and churches fulfil their potential.

Siân stepped into the role of Head of Bible Society in Wales in October 2022, having previously served as Communications Pastor at City Church, Cardiff and as Director of Evangelical Alliance, Wales. She also has a background in education and prior to moving to South Wales was Head of a Performing and Expressive Arts Faculty in a secondary school in north Wales. While a number of her interests revolve around music and all things creative, Siân also enjoys travelling, watching Welsh international rugby and is wholeheartedly committed to seeking out a perfect latte. Siân studied at Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney and is currently studying with WTC. Siân is available to preach in both English and Welsh.
