Stepping Out for Scripture and Bike for Bibles

Previous Bike for Bible events

The last few years, cyclists with a love for Scripture pedalled their way through some epic sponsored rides. Their efforts raised £39,018 to bring God’s word into more lives. That could be 2,000 Bibles for people in prisons and another 2,000 for children caught in the war in Ukraine.

Derek, powered by Hebrews 12.2 (‘looking unto Jesus …’), smashed his personal target of 200 miles for his Cotswolds rides. One final push to Heckington Windmill in Nottinghamshire gave him a total of 233 miles. Elsewhere, Simon, riding in Exmoor, came close to 500 miles. And the team from Wellington Baptist Church in Somerset combined their rides to reach 1,111 miles.

The year that the war in Ukraine began, participants rode especially for those affected by conflict. They covered 3,000 miles to ensure that people who have lost everything can find hope in God’s word. One rider, Joshva, made a special visit to the Ukrainian and Russian embassies in London
