Families like Vibol and Tin live in desperate poverty, and without your help would have no hope of owning a Bible.
For Vibol and Tin, the Bible they received a year ago is their most treasured possession. Tin reads it to the family every night, and it brings them joy and purpose.
90% of people in the village can’t read. So we’re running literacy classes with the Bible as the main text. Within three months, most adults will be able to read basic text.
Families like Vibol’s don’t even have the right to build their homes on solid ground. But they’re rich, because they’re building their faith on God’s word.
‘Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.’ Matthew 7.24 (CEV)
Will you help more Christians have the Bible, and learn to read it?
If you’d like to play a part, you can do one of three things right now:
- £6 could put the Bible into hands of someone like Vibol
- £14 could give someone a Bible and teach them how to read it
- £42 could provide a Bible and literacy lessons to three new believers and change their lives forever

‘Village by village, Bible Society is meeting the huge hunger for Scripture across Cambodia.
So far, 100,000 Bibles have been distributed across the country. But with 250,000 Christians in Cambodia, there’s a long way to go.’
