Meet Phalla Chrey. She’s one of hundreds of thousands of Christians in Cambodia… part of one of the fastest-growing churches in the world.
But she doesn’t have her own Bible.
Chrey, 22, gave her copy to her brother when he left the village. And, like so many Cambodians, she’s a subsistence rice farmer: the cost of a Bible is a luxury she simply can’t afford.
‘If I had a Bible of my own, it would be just me and God. I would read it slowly, and savour it word for word.’
