BRAZIL. God’s manual for spiritual health is part of the help offered by a mobile clinic to deprived communities in north-eastern Brazil.

The Light in North-Eastern Brazil is Bible Society of Brazil’s latest project to reach these people. They will find a special lorry stocked with biblical literature, educational and recreational activities – alongside medical and dental care.

With four trips scheduled this year, hopes are to give further support to NGO and church relief projects. ‘The Bible makes a difference and transforms society when it arrives,’ said Communications Secretary Erni Seibert.

In 2008, 16,000 people in the southern part of the country benefited from the sister programme, the Light in Brazil.
