A new dawn is breaking over Nepal.

Until 15 years ago, being a Christian in Nepal meant you risked imprisonment.

But today the Church there, as well as the Nepal Bible Society, is officially recognised. For the first time, Christmas 2008 was a public holiday in Nepal.

  • The Church has grown from around 30,000 people 15 years ago to 700,000 believers today.
  • Over 95 per cent of Christians in Nepal are recent converts.

The Bible is essential to them. And the churches are ready to seize the moment.

But vast numbers of those becoming Christians are poor. The Bibles they long for have to be provided at much less than the real price.

In 2009 you can share in these historic times for the Church in Nepal. It’s a time to invest generously in its future – and let the light shine. back to top
