SAY YOU WILL … and you will help us transform lives and whole communities through the Bible’s life-changing message

Your will is a powerful document. It’s a declaration to the people you love. It ensures your estate is distributed as you wish and signals to others the things that matter to you. But your will power can go even further. It can be a reflection of your hope for a better future: a future where Bible poverty has ended for individuals, families and entire communities. Through your will, you can continue to help make the Bible heard. Your legacy can bring the Bible’s message of hope and reconciliation to people in places near and far.

SAY YOU WILL ... AND SET THE TRUTH

More than 200 years ago Mary Jones walked 28 miles bare foot, just to buy a Bible. Her story helped lead to the founding of Bible Society, and a commitment to ‘make the Bible heard’ everywhere. Since that time Bible Society has been at the forefront of mission, helping to translate, print and distribute ‘most of the Bibles for most of the world’. Please don’t underestimate the effect of will power on Bible Society’s mission. In fact about a quarter of our work would simply not be possible, but for the stewardship, faith and generosity of people like you – people who leave a gift to fight Bible poverty in their will.

PLEASE ... SAY YOU WILL

Last year, our supporters helped fund Bible translations in 148 languages. Some will deliver the Bible in a language for the first time; others will produce new modern translations, like Hausa in Nigeria, a language spoken by 25 million people. Some 600 translation projects are currently underway worldwide, yet more than 3,000 languages still wait for even one book of the Bible.

YOUR WILL POWER WILL HELP US SEIZE OPPORTUNITES LIKE THESE IN THE FUTURE

If you wish to leave a legacy to a specific project please make sure you include a clause which allows the gift to be used for similar projects if the specific project is closed. This ensures we can use your gift even if your particular project has finished.
