EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ENTERPRISES

Swindon, £55,000 – £60,000 + competitive charity benefits

You will report directly to the Group CEO and, working alongside the Executive Director of Services and the Executive Director of Charity, you will complete the Strategic Leadership Team of Bible Society. 

You will take responsibility for the future strategy, growth and management of Bible Society’s Enterprises arm that achieves its missional aims through income generating activities: Bible Society Resources Ltd, Publishing Services, Christian Resources Exhibitions and two leading research units.  Our current gross annual turnover is £14 million with 110 employees all seeking to make the Bible heard. 

You’ll have excellent commercial acumen, be able to spot business opportunities, drive forward a major trade exhibition and events programme and work collaboratively across the whole organisation. You will be an inspirational leader, communicator and people manager wanting the very best from your various teams to achieve agreed organisational aims.  You will be results-oriented capable of delivering business growth year-on-year consistent with our values of integrity and openness.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Swindon, £50,000 – £60,000 pa + competitive charity benefits                  

Are you a qualified accountant looking to make the Bible heard?

Able to inspire and lead others with integrity and openness?

Proven experience working at a strategic level and looking to use your skill within the charity and or commercial sector?  

If so, you could be who we’re looking for …

You will provide direction, vision and energy and work closely with our senior management team to deliver an exceptional service. You’ll be an excellent communicator, team player and highly IT literate. You’ll have significant people management experience with the ability to manage diverse teams.

You will be able to develop good financial practices and agreements that underpin the way we do business – timely and accurate reporting, clear budgeting, and adherence to legal and Charity Commission requirements.

The development of the Finance Team’s commercial awareness will remain a priority, as will the adoption of performance management techniques, to ensure the financial reserves are in place to support Bible Society’s planned growth.

REGIONAL MANAGER

Use your passion for the Bible as a Regional Manager
(Northern Home Counties & Essex, full-time position, home-based)
£22,000 - £26,000 + benefits

In many parts of the world people are crying out for the Bible in a language they can understand, a format they can use and at a price they can afford. In others, including our own, it is largely ignored or seen as irrelevant. That’s why the work we do is vital for the future.

You will be responsible for building productive relations with churches and their leaders that lead to ongoing support for our mission in the form of financial donations and prayer.

You’ll use your communication and relational skills when speaking in churches and meeting church leaders across all Christian traditions. As a motivator and manager you will lead and build a team of volunteers committed to inspiring churches and building support for Bible Society’s vital work.
