Spokespeople

Ann Holt OBE

Education: Canon Dr Ann Holt, OBE, Director of Programme

 

Ann Holt has spent all her working life involved with Education, including the Department for Education and Skills. Throughout all this time she has been a governor of several schools, primary, secondary and nursery and she has twice been chair of governors.

She has been a national trainer and consultant to Local Education Authorities, the DCSF, and independent schools. Adamson Books have published her book Joined-up Governance, co-authored with Jane Martin.

Since 2003 she has been Executive Director of Programme at Bible Society where she continues to work on issues to do with the impact of the Christian Faith on Education. Ann also heads up the Bible Society's Advocacy Team - which seeks to make the Bible more credible and accessible in our culture.

David Spriggs

Theology: David Spriggs, Bible and Church consultant

 

Having obtained his D.Phil at Oxford, David decided to work for and with churches rather than forge a career in academia. He considers the Bible a great gift from God that enables us to be transformed as well as informed when it's used well. 

David has led several Baptist Churches and has worked for the Evangelical Alliance as well as Bible Society for the past 12 years. In the context of Bible Society he has focused on Bible and church issues but is also involved with developing relationships with universities.

David is happy to talk about:

Luke Walton

Arts: Luke Walton, Arts Development Officer

 

Luke's in the business of 'Translating' the Bible - not into a new language but into the 'languages' of our culture: film, theatre, fine art, installations, sculpture. He works to encourage, educate, and engage artists with the Bible, seeking to change some misconceptions about the Bible along the way.

Luke is part of the Programme team working in England and Wales and is happy to talk about:
